Position Summary:
The Senior Controller at Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) will lead financial operations for the U.S.-based entity, managing internal financial reporting, dashboards, and cross-functional platform integration. This role will be a key strategic partner to company ownership and will present monthly financial performance, forecasts, and insights. The position requires a high degree of financial acumen, leadership, and collaboration with department heads and external accounting partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Create and maintain financial dashboards that provide visibility into key performance indicators across departments.
Direct cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and budgeting processes.
Oversee reconciliations, general ledger, and chart of accounts integrity.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, IT, and Laboratory departments to align finance with business initiatives.
Coordinate with tax professionals, auditors, and legal counsel as needed.
Analyze profitability by service line, location, or department, and advise on cost-containment strategies.
Ensure internal controls and GAAP compliance.
Mentor the Junior Controller and support their growth in financial management and international compliance.
Present monthly reports and strategic recommendations to the owners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
US CPA or CMA
7+ years of progressive financial experience, preferably in a healthcare or laboratory environment.
Expertise in financial reporting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Power BI).
Proven experience presenting to executives or board members.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
