Position Summary:
The Junior Controller will support the financial operations of Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML), with a dual focus on assisting the Senior Controller with U.S. operations and ensuring compliance and reporting obligations are met for the company’s Philippine branch. This role requires strong attention to detail, process-oriented thinking, and a foundational knowledge of both U.S. and PH financial reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations for both U.S. and PH operations.
Support legal and regulatory compliance in the Philippines, including BIR filings, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, DOLE, and SEC reporting.
Coordinate with local PH accountants, payroll providers, and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate government submissions.
Maintain organized records of branch-level income, expenses, and remittances.
Assist with data consolidation and preparation of reports for the Senior Controller.
Participate in internal audits, cost tracking, and monthly close processes.
Aid in creating financial dashboards and metrics that inform global decision-making.
Respond to inquiries from PH regulators or auditors with guidance from the Senior Controller.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
2–4 years of accounting experience; exposure to international operations a plus.
Familiarity with Philippine financial reporting and tax systems required.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
Detail-oriented and organized; capable of juggling multiple deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to overlap work schedule with both PH and U.S. leadership when necessary.
