Job Title: Core Lab Technician – Hematology, Chemistry, Immunology
Job Summary:
The Core Lab Technician conducts routine testing in hematology, chemistry, and immunology within a CLIA-certified environment. This role supports ongoing test analysis, QC monitoring, and documentation while ensuring adherence to lab standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform and report results for hematology, chemistry, and immunology panels.
Review and validate test data for accuracy and reliability.
Evaluate QC metrics and escalate anomalies to the technical supervisor.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and internal SOPs.
Monitor analytic performance and ensure testing systems function within specifications.
Document results accurately in the LIS and per regulatory standards.
Participate in continuing education and proficiency testing.
Assist in evaluating the competency of trained personnel.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science or medical technology.
At least 1 year of experience in a clinical core lab setting.
Familiarity with CBC analyzers, metabolic panels, and immunoassay instruments.
Preferred certification: MLS(ASCP), MLT(ASCP), MT(AMT), or equivalent.
Work Schedule:
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Mountain Time)
